 What is Veterans Build

Veterans Build is a program to provide housing solutions to low-income US veterans, military service members, and their  families who quality for the  The Veterans Build program has three components:

• Build- Provide simple, decent and affordable housing solutions for military, veterans and their families.
• Educate- Engage military and veterans by providing access to financial literacy and homeownership education programs.
• Honor- Highlight  veteran housing needs and honoring their service.

What are the qualifications for Veterans Build 

Owning a home is part of the American Dream. Individuals & families who wish to apply for a Habitat home in the East St. Tammany communities of Slidell, Lacombe, Alton, and Pearl River must meet the following criteria:

• Need for shelter
• Willingness to partner
• Ability to pay
• Filled out application
• Provide DD-214
